KIMRANA IN
"UNDER THE
SAKURA TREE"

Frolicking under the sakura blossoms on a cold late morning in April, perhaps a perfect compliment to the memories of the best garden wedding a girl could wish for.

METHODIST CHURCH

Charming vintage churches like the Trinity Methodist Church in Petaling Jaya don't come by often anymore nowadays, and what better than the bubbly couple and their truly warm and fun bunch of closed ones to complete the whole package of an unforgettable morning close to God.

JON & CAMELIA IN
THE ANDAMAN, LANGKAWI

This album is special, not just because it's the first wedding album of the year 2014, but italso marks Heartpatrick's reboot into the wedding photography market after a well-deserved energising break, and what better way to kick this off than a full-fledged romantic and beautiful wedding on the beach in the charming setting of the Andaman, Langkawi.

WEDDINGS • JAN 2012

WANDI AND EDINA IN
"L
OVE.CHAPTER.1" (SINGAPORE)

Shot in various locations in Singapore, including the Botanical Garden, Marina Barrage and Orchard Road, the first album to be published in a fresh new year of 2012 is a reminder to myself that while my focus has shifted slightly away to the fun-filled realms of creative portraits, weddings can still make for some pretty addictive and fulfilling assignments.

WEDDINGS • SEP 2009

BEN & NINA
IN JONKERJOY (MALACCA/ MELAKA)

More than a year since I shot the prewedding for Loh&Eiein in this charming bustling old town, I'm back here in Malacca again for another pre-wed shoot, this time for a Singaporean couple. Am excited to announce that the heritage area definitely does not disappoint for anyone who has a taste for the old-world charm. Every shophouse is a gem in itself, and I find myself having to constantly fight the temptation to keep stopping and shooting at every step.

WEDDINGS • JUL 2015

ALEX & DYI YEE IN
THE MALACCAN

So three years have passed since my last prewedding assignment in Melaka and this pretty happy couple is all it takes to reignite another round of passionate recollection of my beloved heritage town as we brave our way through the throngs of weekend crowd from the Stadthuys to Riverwalk to Jonker.

WEDDINGS • MAR 2012

JOEY & CHIN LAY IN
"LOVE AND ALL ITS TRADES" (PJ TRADE CENTER DAMANSARA PERDANA)

It was love at first sight, this curiously bare-looking building from afar speaks volumes about Sek San's philosophy, a space jealously guarded by a close circle of avid photographers, and accessible only to those who have mastered their ways around the protective guards. I'm glad I didn't have to kill to shoot here, thanks to my wonderful client for having gone through the pain of getting the approval from the management.

WEDDINGS • SEP 2010

JO & CLARE
ACTUAL-DAY

After a ten-month break from taking on actual-day wedding assignments, I'm finally back! Have to admit that I do miss all the happy lovey-dovey emotions that are overflowing with so much abundance during this kind of joyous occasions. And this is definitely one of the main reasons why I still find myself waking up 5am in the morning and staying up shooting all the way till almost midnight everytime. Thanks Jo and Clare for your trust in me, and for all the wonderful people whom I have met along the way. :)

WEDDINGS • JUL 2011

PATRICK & FIONA IN
"TO BINTAN WITH LOVE" (PULAU BINTAN)

Heartpatrick does preweds at a beach resort, that's virtually unheard of, but when the elements are right I could try to put away my obsession with old-school heritage and learn to appreciate the sea and the sand too. ;)

Patrick and Fiona play this sweet young couple who flew in all the way from Hong Kong into the charming embrace of Pulau Bintan, and against all odds (despite a contradictory weather forecast) we got a sunny day that continued to stay that way till sunset!

WEDDINGS • JUL 2014

RICHARD & VIVIEN IN
FLUTES NATIONAL MUSEUM SINGAPORE

Cut short my Bangkok trip to fly in to Singapore to cover this luncheon wedding reception for a small group of well-wishers who came together at Flutes at the National Museum, for the wedding reception of Richard and Vivien. But It was all worth it to be in the embrace of happy people whose memories of the blessed day will be forever sealed thank to this coverage.

WEDDINGS • MAR 2013

KENNETH & BEEYONG IN
"TO GEORGETOWN WITH LOVE"

My second prewed in Georgetown, Penang, brings me back to the embrace of this charming heritage neighbourhood in the company of one absolutely fun couple, and it once again sealed Heartpatrick's stamp of approval for a place that will never fail to impress regardless of how many visits I make.

WEDDINGS • DEC 2012

CHESIONG & CHANEL

Looks like the month of December is another hectic one for me, with this second actual-day shoot schedule back to back with the first one.

WEDDINGS • MAR 2012

BEN & JIN IN
GEORGETOWN, PENANG

So yes, one more item checked off my to-do list. After having conquered Jonker Melaka (Malacca), there can't be anything that I want more than the chance to shoot in the mother of all quaint neighbourhood. This living, thriving cacophony of bustling markets, chic cafes, narrow back alleys all playing to the laid-back tunes of yesteryears, for a moment I was entertaining the idea of actually moving here permanently, or erm at least long enough for me to do say 50 portraits. ;)
